Here are some photos from the Viva La Gong Festival. Not too crash hot but none the less from the festival. Enjoy. Its was called ” A Stitch In Time”. So some of the photos are of knitting and stuff, and a coral reef made of wool. Cheers and thanks for looking.

Missed all the main bands and entertainment as I was a busy little bee. How well these photos will have to do for my portfolio.

Well today was interesting. I’m doing a course in Community Services and my work placement was with the Cultural Services in my area. And today was the big community festival we have been working towards called “Viva La Gong”. Which is in Wollongong, NSW, Australia. Hard sweaty work being involved in this sort of thing. I wasn’t too sure what it would be like, and I really enjoyed it. Started set up yesterday for about 8-9 hours and did about 11 hours today for the festival. They way I felt at home afterwards was a good tired, which I haven’t felt for a long time having studied most of the lats three years, it was great to get back to doing something outside and constructive, instead of sitting in a class room, or doing assessments or even thinking about assessments. I wonder what challenges the world will bring me tomorrow. Well one for starters is that in the last couple of months a lot of members in our church band have left, well all of them except my wife, to other church members and myself, leaving only acoustic guitars and vocals. felt strange at first, two of use in front of the whole church, no drums, no keyboards, o backup singers, no lead guitar, no electric guitar, even though I have one, its no use playing an electric guitar if there is no drums and bass to support you. Not complaining about the situation though. I have a lot more oppportuniies now to play in church. Played two of my own songs a couple of weeks. Was really nervous leading up to it, but when I played ( by myself just acoustic and vocals) I wasn’t that nervous at all. Here is a link to the two songs i played.

Jason @ Reverbnation

The two songs are

  1. Never
  2. Made It This Far

Hope all enjoy them how take the time too listen.

Might add some photos from the festial tommorrow.

Well good night all, and cheers for another time.
